The Luna & Stella Course at the Twin Doves Golf Club is a slightly hilly and enjoyable course. The Twin Doves Golf Club consists of three 9-hole loops, the Luna course, Stella Course and Stole Course, which totals up to 27 holes. The difficulty levels of the three are relatively the same. The greens are quite large with many complex slops, making the putting challenging. A combination of the undulating fairways, strategically placed the bunkers and ponds, and many tree-lined fairways, will make accuracy a vitally important factor for every shot. Although the layout of the course is quite ordinary, the course is nicely maintained at, making it very comfortable and enjoyable to play here.

2nd Par 5 576 yards
The second hole is relatively straight and consists of an OB on both left and right sides of the fairway. A large fairway bunker on the right comes into play off the tee. Players should be aware of a lake on the second shot and the bunker guarding the front left side of the green on the third shot.

This hole is designed with a dogleg that bends left. Players should look out for the OB zone on the right, and the fairway bunker on the left. The green is wide and has a high center, which will make the ball roll down either towards the right or left side.

This beautifully designed par three will require the tee shot to hover over the lake in order to reach the green. The green is as much as fifty yards wide and is guarded by a bunker in the front.

9th Par 5 586 yards
This par five consists of a strong dogleg that bends to the right. The tee shot will require the ball to be hit over a lake and several bunkers. Players will need an accurate second shot in order to avoid the strategically placed lake on the right side of the tight fairway.
The green is vertically long and while the front half slopes severely to the front, the back half slightly slopes towards the back. Bunker guards the green on both its left and right sides.

The thirteenth hole is a par four with a dogleg that bends to the left. With a gentle downhill tee shot, players should look out for the river that runs alongside the right side of the hole. On the second shot players should be aware for the deep bunker that guards the front side of the strongly two-tired green.

15th Par 5 593 yards
This hole is a relatively straight part five. Both the tee and the second shot will have a bunker on the right and a lake on the left. The second shot will require the ball to hover over the lake in order to reach the green. The putting for this hole is very difficult since the green has complicated undulations and slopes heavily from back to front.

The last hole of this course is a straight and downhill par four. Players should be aware of the many fairway bunkers off the tee and the lake on the second shot.

It would take about an hour and twenty minutes by car to get from the city to the Twin Doves Golf Club. It is possible to play at night under the lights.

Le Meridien Saigon hotel

I recommend staying at the Le Meridien Saigon hotel. This hotel is relatively new and has a cozy atmosphere, not to mention a spectacular view from the room. I had a dinner at Vietnamese restaurant “Hoa Tuc”, located downtown in a colonial era opium factory. Hoa Tuc offers atmosphere and style to match the excellence of its food.
