| One drawback is that it takes
as much as 2 & half hours from Hong Kong by bus. The course is not crowded
at all because of fewer visitors from Hong Kong. You can hit hard drivers because
most of the fairways are wide-open and hazards are not that much in play at tee
shots. The owner is a Japan listed company. I was glad that a Japanese
style bath and a sauna are provided. I played from the blue tee of 6585
yards one and half years ago and felt that this was an easy course because hazards
like bunkers are not that much in play and furthermore because there are relatively
wide fairways. However, when I played from a championship tee that is 435 yards
longer, I was able to understand that the course is tougher than average ones.
Of course, beginners and mid-level players are satisfied with this course as it
now stands. But advanced players will also like it if the greens are faster and
more contured and several new water hazards are placed more strategically. In
other words, if the width between fairways and is shortened dramatically and more
water hazards come into play, the pressure from the tee will be increased. As
a consequence, the course could become one of the best in the Huizhou area since
it is long enough. |
