| This is a hillside course carved
out of a forest. Not only do you have to contend with trees along the sides of
the fairway but also clever bunkering and water hazards further cut down the options.
The closer to the hole you get, the narrower the targets area becomes but the
safety zones are also provided, which would attract all-levels of players. A key
uniqueness of the course is the double fairways that are seen on 4 holes. You
must decide which route you will take aroute for beginners or a route for advanced
players. Joyful melodies of brooks & trees and birds singing, and a graceful
lake refresh you completely. This is a course that you will want to come back
to play over and over again. |

|
|
| The hole is surrounded by trees.
Bunkers guarding the green come into play. |
| |
| |
| A dogleg to the left, slightly
downhill. In order to clear the two big bunkers on the left corner, a carry of
230 yards is needed, where another relatively tight fairway is provided and you
can aim directly at the pin. To play safe, choose the right fairway. |
| |
| |
| A charming, straight hole. A
230 yard drive is needed to clear the left bunkers. The green is both elevated
and slopes a lot from the back to the front with a steep slope behind the green
so you shouldn’t hit over the green. |
| |
| |
| A dogleg to the right, short
par 5 reachable in 2. If you choose the right fairway, a carry of 220-yards from
the tee is needed to clear water then the hole becomes almost straight and you
can cut down the yardages greatly. |
| |
| |
|
A lake runs along the entire length of the right side and the tight fairway makes
this hole challenging. The green is swung to the right, so the front of the green
borders the lake. |
| |
| |
|
|
| |
| There
are 2 routes separated completely by trees. To play safe, this hole becomes a
600-yards very long slight dogleg to the right. Advanced players like to choose
the right route, where it becomes a 525-yards long almost straight hole. In this
case, a long and accurate drive is a must because a carry of 240 yards is needed
to reach to a rolling narrow fairway guarded by bunkers on both sides. The second
shot is over a pond and if your tee shot is in rough, it is difficult to clear
water from there. |

|
| |
| A
dogleg to the left or a straight hole. 2 fairways are provided on this hole, too.
You can shorten the distance by some 20 yards by hitting down the left fairway
but the fairway is narrow and a bunker protecting the front side of the green
comes into play. When you choose the right fairway, though this route is longer,
the fairway is more generous and the bunker doesn’t come to play on the approach
shot. |

|
|
|
|
| |
| A 230 yard drive is needed to
clear bunkers on the right. The second shot is over a lake and a bunker. The view
of the lake, the bunker, the contoured green and the palms behind it are beautiful.
|
| | | | | A slightly downhill par 3 with an
island green. |
|
| |
| |
| This hole shares the same lake
with the 9th hole. The lake runs all the way along the left side with the tight
fairway. The wide green is swung to the left and when the pin is positioned on
the left, the second shot is over water. |

| It
takes a little over 1 hour from Sanya and 2 hours and 30 minutes from Haikou by
