Amata Spring Country Club is developed on an almost flat terrain with a lot of water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. While power plays are required on the longer first 9 holes, accuracy is a must on the shorter hazard-filled last 9 holes. The course plays to a length of over 7,400 yards, ensuring that even the advanced players will be severely tested. Although, the club has a short history, the course has already hosted one of world's major tournaments, the first Royal Trophy in 2006 and later again in 2010.The tournament was known for its Ryder Cup-style shootout held between Asia and Europe. The Thailand Golf Championship, which is the flagship event for the Asian Tour was held annually from 2011 to 2014 at this course as well.

Hole 4 Par 4 459 yards
A dogleg to the right, difficult hole. A lake and an adjoining huge fairway bunker, reachable 210 – 230 yards off the tee, down the right side should be the shortest route to the green. A small river crossing the fairway in front of the green should only come into play when you hit short on the tee shot. The green is narrow and deep with a bunker protecting its left side.

Hole 6 Par 4 392 yards
A dogleg to the right. A carry of 250 yards is needed to clear a long bunker on the right. The green is elevated and surrounded by 4 bunkers, so the accurate second shot is needed.

Hole 7 Par 5 617 yads
A dogleg to the right, long par 5. You should avoid 3 bunkers in a row guarding the right off the tee. Fairway bunkers located in the landing area of the second shot will test you on which club to be used and how to play the shot. Since the green slopes slightly toward the back, and moreover the rear left green faces a lake, the rear left pin position will be more difficult.

Hole 8 Par 3 236 yards (1)
A long par 3 over water. The left side of the green borders the water, and 2 bunkers protect the left side of the green that is double-tiered with big undulations.

Hole 11 Par 5 520 yards
A dogleg to the left par 5, reachable in 2 shots. The green is not deep but wide and double-tiered from left to right. A menacing bunker guards the front of the shallow green and makes it difficult to hit the green in 2 shots.

A slight dogleg to the left, long par 4. The second shot is downhill and a lake is located on the far left of the gently contoured green. A steep slope on the left side of the fairway and a bunker on the right side of the fairway come into play.

Hole 17 Par 3 145 yards
A par 3 of an island green. The green slopes slightly toward the back. This charming par 3 is not long, so it is not that difficult except on a strong windy day. It is a completely floating green and one that can be lengthened and shortened using underwater pulleys. You must use a boat to get there, which is unique.

An almost straight, long par 4. Water is visible down the entire left side, so you must hit an accurate tee and second shot to achieve a good score. This is a hole where you are content with a par. The green is triple-tiered with waterfalls on the left.
